In this amusing comedy of manners from the Regency era, the woman who never made a match for herself is now creating matches for everyone else. Sophie wishes she could suggest herself as Sir Edmund’s bride as she helps him find a spouse. But she promises to stay out of it and help him in his quest (especially because the gentleman undoubtedly does not return her affections). However, Sophie is unable to determine whether she is bound for the altar or another shattered heart when both Sir Edmund and her long-lost love appear interested in wooing her. Given how terrible her own romantic life is, how can she be expected to help others with theirs?
