Stolen Innocence By Julia Derek

FBI Agent Sidney Stone, haunted by the horrific murder of her brother, pushes herself to the limit of her sanity as she battles both vicious criminals and her own demons in a race against time to uncover a terrifying string of kidnappings that match her own horrible history.

In order to keep others from going through what happened to her younger brother Ben, FBI Agent Sidney Stone has devoted her life to the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit. When she was sixteen and he was seven, they were kidnapped. She was released, but he was killed. His passing motivates her to fight for justice despite her battles with depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

The patterns of a wave of kidnappings of children resemble those of Sidney’s own kidnapping, drawing her further into a psychological conflict. Co-leading the investigation with Special Agent Alex Kane, Sidney has to deal with a network of vicious crooks and a complicated web of hints.

Sidney struggles to strike a balance between her desire to save others and her inner demons, with the help of a committed team and her therapist, Dr. Emma Blake. With every new development, she gets closer to both her own breaking point and the destruction of the abductors’ evil scheme.
